My name is Ciya. I am a self-taught professional artist with over 10 years of experience in acrylic and watercolor paintings. My Journey with Arts started when I was young and used to paint for fun. Like every other child, I used to paint in school and at home. I still remember my very first painting of a village girl, which was inspired by a women in sub urban areas. I eventually created multiple paintings to decorate my home walls. With years passing, I started to feel more passionate about painting and developed an immense interest in paints and art.
After more than a decade in the corporate world, I made the bold decision to transition into a full-time artist, founding Soaked in Canvas in 2021. I firmly believe that art has the power to heal, and that drawing and painting are effective modes of self-expression. My artwork mirrors spirituality, nature and its infinite beauty. I live in New Delhi, India.
With the desire to bring people together through creativity and build a community where arts is seen as both therapy and leisure, and valued for its rich history, I expanded Soaked in Canvas to offer finely crafted artworks and paint workshops, providing others with an opportunity to join me on a therapeutic journey of creativity.
